So you know: I'm just an Aussie Broadband customer, I'm not affiliated with them in any way.

Why I'm with them

I'm on a HFC connection here in Sydney, on their Fast Fibre plan — 500 down, 50 up. It's fast enough that nobody in the house thinks about the internet, which is the only real test.

They're not the cheapest nbn you can buy. Support is why I've stayed: Australian, and you get someone who can actually fix the problem rather than read a script at you.

Questions people ask

How do I use an Aussie Broadband referral code?

If you sign up online, paste 19457589 into the referral code field on the checkout page. If you sign up over the phone, read it out to the person setting you up. Either way it has to go in when you sign up, not afterwards.

When does the $50 credit show up?

Once your nbn service is active. The credit lands on your next monthly bill, and mine lands on my next bill at the same time.

I forgot to enter the code. Can I add it later?

Probably not. Aussie's terms say the code needs to be quoted and accepted at the time of sale. It's worth asking support if you've only just signed up, but don't count on it.

Can I use it with an Aussie Broadband discount code or promo?

No. New customers get either a referral credit or a promotional or discount offer, not both. If Aussie is running a promo worth more than $50, take the promo and skip my code. That's genuinely the better deal.

Does it work for business nbn?

Yes. Business nbn referrals get you a $50 credit as well. Mobile has its own refer a friend amounts, so check Aussie's refer a friend page for the current numbers and the full terms.

Is 19457589 still working?

Yes. A code only works while the person who owns it is still an active customer, and I am. I check it whenever I update this page.
